In 1985, I had my first public speaking engagement. The Student Association at my college needed someone to present to the local city council a proposal as to why housing regulations needed to be upgraded and enforced for student housing. I want to believe that it was due to my incredible knowledge and oratory abilities, they chose me, but more likely it was because the Mayor was a personal friend and my father was a voting member of the city council.
In the past 30 years, I have been invited by schools, teachers, visiting lecturers, banks, credit unions, bar associations, cities, villages, trade associations, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism and assorted types of businesses to present on various topics including:
- Real Estate Development
- Historic Renovation and Preservation
- Commercial and Consumer Collections
- Business Formation and Development
- Tourism Growth and Development
- Business Growth and Development
- Employment Law
Among my actual presentations:
- Presented on the obtaining and enforcement of Construction Lien Law
- Presented on the Drafting and Enforcement of Municipal Development Agreements
- Presented on the Evolving Law of Evictions and Squatter’s rights
- Presented on Compliance with Fair Debt Collection Act
- Presented on the use and enforcement of Community Development Funds for Housing and Commercial Development
If you are in need of a presenter for your group, please feel free to contact me to discuss the topics and what I can do for you.
